Residential: Owl’s Nest Co-Living Apartment, NYC

MFA 1, Spring 2022

This proposed design works to serve the growing population of NYC residents over 60 choosing to age in place. This two bedroom residence is one of several located within a co-living space. The client profile for this project is a group of ex-Broadway costume designers between the ages of 60 and 80 who have chosen to age in place as a means to save money, maintain a social life, and remain in NYC post-career.

Special accommodations have been taken in to account for natural aging, like additional lighting, lever handels on door and cabinets, and an ADA bathroom. The décor was inspired by the history of the two residents - an art deco flare reminiscent of a theatrical career.

Programs Utilized: AutoCad, Photoshop, Adobe Indesign
